Yes — granite is one of the few natural paving materials genuinely rated for driveway use. It must be laid on a full mortar bed over a properly prepared Type 1 sub-base, and we recommend speaking to an experienced installer for driveway projects. For high-load driveways, granite setts are often preferred over slabs. What is a flamed granite finish? Flamed granite is heat-treated with a high-temperature torch, which causes the surface crystals to pop and create a textured, naturally slip-resistant finish.
