We woke up before the itinerary started. Just — earlier than planned, and we went to the rooftop with tea. The blue city was still and pale in the early light and a few kites were already circling near the fort and there was a sound from somewhere below that I still can't identify. The Rajasthan packages had nothing scheduled until 9am. That hour before 9am was the one I'd go back for.
