The FDA Modernization Act 2.0, which removed the mandate for animal testing in drug approval pathways, further incentivizes pharmaceutical investment in bioprinted alternatives.
Research institutions represent the second major end-use segment, focusing on fundamental tissue engineering research and translational studies. These organizations often collaborate with pharmaceutical companies and bioprinting technology providers, creating synergistic relationships that accelerate innovation. The dual demand from commercial drug developers and academic researchers creates a robust market ecosystem where technological advancements rapidly translate from laboratory discovery to clinical application, driving sustained growth across the US bioprinting landscape.
