NHL Daily Picks Kings Ducks ready for another thrille
Earlier this week these two teams played what might be one of the best and most entertaining games you will see all season, a 6-5 Ducks victory in a shootout. They are right back at it Saturday afternoon, and if they can even come close to duplicating what they did the other night in Anaheim, this game is going to be a treat. The Ducks are still dealing with their mumps i sue, while the Kings are still trying to find their rhythm after winning just eight of their first 17 games. Pick: Kings 3, Ducks 2 The Avalanche finish off their tour of the New York-New Jersey area Saturday evening with a trip to the Newark to take on the Devils. After getting Treveon Graham Jersey blown out on Long Island 6-0, the Avalanche were able to bounce back Thursday with a shootout win over the Rangers. Saturday, they're either going to get a backup goalie that has yet to start a game this season, or and making his sixth start in 10 days. Either way, you have to think that's a solid matchup for a team that is desperate to win and struggling to score some goals. Pick: Avalanche 4, Devils 3 Wednesday night they had their first meeting since last season's Eastern Conference semifinals and the Rangers absolutely ran away with it by a 5-0 margin, ending what had been a Penguins seven-game winning streak. It was just one of those nights for the Penguins where nothing went their way, and even when they did find the open man with the puck they couldn't make anything work. This time they get the Rangers at home and look to start a new winning streak after knocking off the Maple Leafs 2-1on Friday night. Pick: Penguins 4, Rangers 1 The good news for the Capitals is they don't have to wait long out of their mouth, getting right back on the ice Saturday night. The bad news is they have to visit the St. Louis Blues, winners of nine of their past 10 games. With and back in the lineup, and and filling the back of the net the Blues are clicking on all cylinders right now and are one of the hottest teams in the league. That probably will not stop on Saturday. Pick: Blues 5, Capitals 3 at , 1 p.m. ET at , 2 p.m. ET at , 7 p.m. ET at , 7 p.m. ET at , 7 p.m ET at , 7 p.m. ET at , 7 p.m. ET at , 10 p.m. ET 1. , Toronto Maple Leafs: Ke sel gets to play against the Sabres on Saturday, and anybody that gets to play against the Sabres is a good candidate to have a huge night offensively. Plus, Ke sel is playing some outstanding hockey right now with four goals in his past five games. He did not score against Pittsburgh on Friday, but he still had seven shots on goal. He gets seven shots on goal against the Sabres, two of them are going in.2. , Colorado Avalanche: With only two goals and 4.4 percent shooting in his first 18 games this season, O'Reilly is off to an extremely slow start. He is just too talented and too good to be kept down this long. With a shooting percentage that low there is definitely some bad luck going on for him, and eventually some of those shots are going to find the back of the net. Perhaps it starts to change for him Saturday in New Jersey. 3. , Nashville Predators: One of , Forsberg is helping lead Nashville's incredible top line that has outscored its opponents by a 15-1 margin when the trio is on the ice together during 5-on-5 play.
