What This Therapeutic Yoga Training in India Involves
Yoga Chaitanya International Institute offers a 200-hour Yoga Therapy Teacher
Training, a residential program focused on the therapeutic application of yoga
rather than general class instruction. The course runs for 23 days at either its
Goa or its Himalayan location.
Across those 23 days, students move between alignment-focused postures, breath
regulation, meditation, yoga nidra, mudras, bandhas, Ayurveda fundamentals, and yoga
philosophy, alongside modules on health assessment, sequencing for specific
conditions, and a supervised teaching practicum. Laughter yoga is also included as
a structured module.
Yoga Chaitanya therapeutic yoga training in India is designed for yoga teachers
wanting to add a therapeutic specialisation, as well as healthcare professionals
such as nurses, physiotherapists, and psychotherapists who want to apply yoga
tools within their existing work. Prior yoga experience is recommended, though the
program supports both experienced teachers and dedicated practitioners.
Sukhvinder Singh Chaitanya, E-RYT 500 and YACEP certified, leads the training in
person. Graduates receive Yoga Alliance RYS-200 certification, an institute Yoga
Therapy Teacher certificate, and a Laughter Yoga Leader qualification. View the
program details for the full syllabus.
