Get Your UTV Ride Ready for Spring
Spring is here, and the trails are calling. Before you hit the dirt, take a few minutes to run through this essential maintenance checklist — because the best rides start with a well-prepped machine.
🔧 Spring UTV Maintenance Checklist
✔ Fluids
Check your oil level and cleanliness. Dirty or low oil can cause serious engine damage. While you're at it, make sure your brake fluid is topped off for safe, responsive stopping power.
✔ Tires & Wheels
Inspect all four tires for signs of a flat, cracking, or uneven wear. Give your lug nuts a check to confirm they're secure — loose wheels are a safety hazard you don't want to discover mid-trail.
✔ Drive Belt
Your CVT belt takes a beating over time. Examine it for cracks, fraying, or glazing. A worn belt can leave you stranded, so replace it if there's any doubt.
✔ Battery
After sitting through winter, your battery may have lost its charge. Confirm it's fully charged and check the terminals for corrosion before your first ride of the season.
✔ Bushings & Ball Joints
Perform a quick visual inspection of your suspension components. Look for excessive play, cracking, or anything that looks out of place. Tight, functional bushings and ball joints keep your ride smooth and predictable.
✔ Axles
Look for broken axles or torn CV boots. A damaged boot lets grease escape and allows dirt in — leading to premature axle failure. Catch it early and save yourself a costly repair.
Taking care of these basics now ensures you spend more time riding and less time wrenching. Need replacement parts or accessories to get your UTV dialed in? Shop our full selection and hit the trails with confidence.
